Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City, aka Saigon, is an exciting and chaotic mix of culture, history and modernity. The largest city in Vietnam has all of the key elements that contribute to a tourist destination with lots of culture and crazy architecture; a convenience paradise; a great mix of historical facts and oddities; and a wonderful local community or “hometown boy” as well as an amazing street market, so its no surprise Ho Chi Minh attracts tourists.

The History buff, wishing to learn more about Vietnam war, would be happy to visit the War Remnants Museum, or make their way to the Yummy, French colonial style Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica. Vegetable lovers and vegans unite. Ho Chi Minh has a lot of vibrant street food booths to choose from, along with some nice Vietnamese cafes and vendors.

There are still some decent French colonial architecture, and a small reminder of the past in Vietnam. For those who are a group or a single traveller, there can be nothing better than hopping on a boat and relaxing on the river, meandering its way down the very scenic Saigon River. Ho Chi Minh City has a variety of things to see; there is plenty of experiences offered in the city.
